Why Create a Bucket List?

What is a Bucket List?
A bucket list is ultimately just a list of goals (both large and small) that a person hopes to do in their lifetime (or as the saying goes "before you kick the bucket").  The term bucket list has only recently came into being in the last few years with the movie "The Bucket List".  However, it is something I have been doing my entire life (I just hadn't officially written it down before).  It is a list of things you want to try at least once (though feel free to do each one as many times as you like).  The list can be about big things and it can also include numerous simple things .... remember, it is the little things that make a person happy!  So, whether you are someone who actually wants to make that climb up Mount Kilomanjaro or if you are simply one who wants to sip a cup of tea on the porch with a loved one .... it is time to write down that bucket list!

 Why Create a Bucket List?
The purpose for creating a bucket list depends upon the person creating it.  There are a number of reasons a person would create this list.  One good reason is to add a sense of purpose and direction to one's life.  A sense of purpose with goals and "something to look forward to" seems to help a person keep a positive attitude.  Looking forward to the future is a key component in maintaining your happiness today!"
